Higher number = more cushion. Scale only goes to 10. The last 2 numbers are the type of shoe it is. 40 = extreme stability 60 = stability, 70 = light stability, 80 = neutral, 90 = performance, 00 = racing. Examples: Whether that’s a 990v5 (military discount at footlocker fyi), 993, or 574. There’s even a bracket for “best grey new balance” on sneakerfreaker magazine.
