Jun 11, 2023 · To start, loosen the spool cover and remove the empty spool. Turn the spool counterclockwise until it detaches from the trimmer head. Remove any remaining old string or debris. Clean and inspect the spool for damages and replace if necessary. Measure an appropriate length of a new line.
When I've went to Lowe's there wasn't a replacement head from Kobalt. I was really hoping there was an answer to this because I need to replace mine as well.
