When it starts it runs fine as long as you don't turn left. Remove the fuel line, the one coming from the tank, at the injector pump. It should run a steady stream about 1/2 the diameter of a pencil. On my Ford (3600/3610 model) the pressure is supposed to be 700-800 psi at 1000 rpm. I don't know what your pressure should be, but probably about 1000psi @1000 rpm. You may want to pull the steering reservoir can off to check the relief valve to make sure it isn't loose.

65 ford 5000 steering problems. This tractor has power assist steering. It turns left fine. Very hard to turn to the right. It blew a hose so I replaced with new hoses. Had cylinder rebuilt and control valve although I feel the guy was somewhat unsure about the control valve. Turns fine with the two front tires off the ground.
